Instructions to authors

The ECCC2026 International Conference on Creep & Fracture is the 7th organised by the ECCC. Attending and presenting a paper will bring you into contact with a wide range of colleagues from around the world, giving you an opportunity to present, discuss and discover the latest work in your specific area. Further information on Conference Topics can be seen at this page. However, if your particular specialisation is not listed, please do not hesitate to contact the organizers by email.

The submission form is now open and the following instructions may help you send us your abstract.  Please note the extended abstract submission deadline of 30th September 2025.

Abstract submission

Step 1. Create a simple account (or reuse one already entered).

  • Click on the submission form.
  • If this is the first time you have added an Abstract , please add your personal information in the section « PERSONAL INFORMATION » section, making sure that email is correct so that we can use that in any communication.
  • If you already have an account from a previous Abstract submission, select « Yes » in answer to « Have you already submitted an abstract for this conference? » and you will be asked to login using your account details received previously by email. (This avoids you having multiple profiles.)

Step 2. Enter an Abstract, add additional Authors, and nominate the Corresponding Author

  • Proceed to the « SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT » section.
  • First of all, please add the Title of the Abstract, and then any further authors (your details are automatically copied from the PERSONAL INFORMATION section if you click on “add me as an author”).
  • Please clearly identify each co-author and their affiliation and designate one as a Corresponding Author. The order of authors may also be changed.
  • You are able to select 3 « Main themes » from the list provided to facilitate the review process and the organisation of presentations into appropriately sized thematic sessions. You may also add additional keywords.
  • Then add the Abstract content (plain text only, between 200 and 500 words), and say whether you wish to present it orally, or as a poster.
  • If you wish, please supply any further information in the box immediately below the Abstract box.

Step 3. Freeze, Confirm the Privacy Statement and Submit Abstract

  • If you now select Save and Continue, your abstract is saved in the ECCC2026 review system, but it is not yet being reviewed. This is so that you can make any changes (eg to check the details of your other Authors).
  • If you are sure you will no longer modify your abstract, you can tick the box « I agree to freeze my submission » which means that you cannot modify it any more. Your abstract can then be reviewed even before the abstract submission deadline. However, note that you will not receive a notification of acceptance/reject sooner by ticking this box. Whether you tick or not this box, your abstract will be automatically submitted for review, at the abstract submission deadline at the latest, without further action required on your part. If you decide to remove this submission, please do so by clicking on the delete box, in the “edit my summaries” section of your profile.
  • Similarly, please read and tick the box to agree to the Privacy Statement.
  • Once those steps have been completed, please click on Save and Continue to the review panel.
  • A notification of your submission will be sent to the submitter by email. (Please check your spam folder.)

Congratulations and Thank you! You have just submitted your Abstract for Review to ECCC2026 conference!

You will be informed by 31st October 2025 of your Abstracts acceptance/reject, giving further details of how to submit the paper for the deadline of 30th January 2026.

ECCC 2026 Special Issue

We are very pleased to announce a ECCC 2026 Special Issue edition of the prestigious journal Materials at High Temperature (MHT), dedicated to selected papers from the Conference. This will be similar to Special Issues that have been published for previous ECCC conferences; and reflects the general high quality of the contributed papers we receive.

Full information is available on the MHT journal website (MHT Special issue). On submitting your Abstract to the Conference please inform us (via the Comments section) that you intend to seek publication in the ECCC 2026 Special Issue. You will still need to contribute an Extended Abstract of 3-5 pages for the Conference Proceedings by 30th January, but you will submit your full paper to MHT for review and selection for the Special Issue.
