CONTEXT

From 18th to 20th May 2026, this 7th International ECCC Creep & Fracture Conference will bring together engineers and scientists from around the world to present and discuss research and developments in all aspects of creep and creep-fatigue interaction behaviour of high temperature industrial materials and components. The overall aim is to disseminate knowledge and identify future work items requiring attention from the high temperature research, design and standardisation communities, and component application.

This will be the seventh ECCC Conference after London 2005, Zurich 2009, Rome 2014, Dusseldorf 2017, Web 2021 (COVID time), Edinburgh 2023.

VENUE

The venue of ECCC2026 is Hôtel Aquabella close to the centre of the charming university town of Aix-en-Provence, which is set in the Provencal countryside – at its best during spring. Aix is accessible by air, road or fast train (service to Marseille, Nice, Paris – including direct connection to Charles de Gaulle airport). Aix is also close to CEA Cadarache and ITER fusion tokamak, with a not-to-be-missed visit planned straight after the conference sessions.

The conference comes at a key point in our use of high temperature materials: never has there been a greater need to understand the behaviour of materials in assets close to the end of life, under flexible operation conditions; whilst being able to develop and understand newer materials for a 60 year operation in nuclear plant.  The conference aims to bring key people in the field to advance these topics, to learn, to explain, to network, to secure knowledge in this important field; please join us in making it a success!

ABOUT ECCC

The European Creep Collaborative Committee (ECCC) is the leading voice of European experts on subjects relating to creep and creep interaction, representing the views of alloy producers, plant manufacturers and end-users.

For more than 30 years ECCC has been engaged in the co-ordination of Europe-wide creep data generation, collation and assessment activities, with the aim of pooling national data resources to provide the optimum basis for creep property values for European product and design standards.
